Porcelain Veneers London

Get the smile you’ve always wanted with ultra-fine porcelain veneers

Porcelain Veneers at The London Centre for Cosmetic Dentistry

Veneers are ultra-fine porcelain facings that are placed over your teeth, giving you the smile that you have always wanted. They can improve the colour, shape and position of your teeth.  With minimal preparation needed, veneers are placed over your teeth and can fix a range of dental issues, including; if your teeth are malformed, naturally small or you have conspicuous single or multiple gaps in-between your teeth, veneers can help.

If you have suffered tooth damage and have chips or cracks, veneers will cover the affected tooth and restore the size and shape of your teeth as well as your smile. For malocclusion, where your teeth are crooked and out of alignment, veneers can help you achieve a more aligned and improved smile – one that you will want to show off!

Porcelain veneers can also help improve the appearance of discoloured teeth that whitening cannot improve, where staining is intrinsic and is usually due to genetics or antibiotics. Veneers can cover the stained teeth and give you a more natural and healthy looking smile. To us at the practice the most obvious benefit of veneers is the increased confidence that comes from having a flawless and beautiful smile.

Your oral health is our priority, where available we focus on minimal preparation of your teeth, preserving as much of your natural teeth as possible. We work with you from the very beginning to achieve the smile you want, we don’t go for the ‘American Look’, our veneers are designed with you in mind – your input is paramount.

Dr Druian & Porcelain Veneers

In 1983 Dr Mervyn Druian was the first ever UK dentist to introduce the practice of porcelain veneers to the country. Dr Druian is recognised by his peers as one of the leading innovators, and is often heralded by beauty editors as “the leading expert in cosmetic dentistry”. He was the principal dentist on Extreme Makeovers UK, X Factor and Britain & Ireland’s Next Top Model.

Porcelain Veneer Treatment Process

The first step is to book a consultation with our cosmetic dentist. In the consultation, we will discuss what you feel your dental issues are and what type of smile you are seeking. The dentist will check your oral health and suggest the best treatment for you.

When creating a beautiful smile to fit the individual, there are many aspects that we take into consideration; the amount of “dark space” when you smile, the line angles and symmetry of the smile, your age and muscular facial structure as well as the physiognomy – there is a lot of science behind a beautiful smile.

Once you decide to go ahead, we will take a 3D scan of your teeth and send the impressions to our carefully selected laboratory. We then create exceptional looking temporary veneers London which give you a fantastic visualisation and preview of your new smile.

During the temporary transformation of your smile, the shape and shade of your veneers will be decided and any necessary adjustments will be made before the veneers are fitted to your teeth. You have the opportunity to control how your new smile will appear and we aim to create a smile to reflect your face and personality.

Once the permanent veneers have been made (which takes around two weeks), you will have a veneer fit appointment. This is where your new veneers are bonded to your teeth, and it is the final stage of your treatment. You will walk out of the practice with your beautiful new smile.

We will provide you with clear aftercare guidelines for your veneers. A month or so after your treatment we will see you for a review to check you and your smile are still beaming!

Treatment Options

Porcelain Veneers

Of all the different types of dental veneers available, porcelain veneers are one of the most popular. And it’s understandable. Extremely strong and durable, they’re made from hardened ceramic, and can last up to 20 years on average. Porcelain veneers can:

  • Improve the appearance of worn or chipped teeth
  • Address and revitalise the appearance of discoloured teeth
  • Help realign crooked teeth
  • Close gaps between your teeth
  • Working with the best

Our patients’ porcelain veneers are fitted by our lead clinician, Dr Druian. The cosmetic dentist of choice for a number of celebrities, Dr Druian has more than 35 years’ experience in the field, and was the first UK dentist to introduce porcelain veneers back in 1983. So you know you’re in safe hands.

A beautiful new smile in a matter of weeks

Our highly skilled experts will work with you to design a treatment based on your unique needs, and the process usually lasts just a few weeks, with a maximum of three appointments. An initial consultation will determine your bespoke treatment plan. You’ll then work with your dentist to design your new smile, before having temporary porcelain veneers fitted. These are worn for a couple of weeks, giving you time to suggest any changes before your final, permanent porcelain veneers are fitted.  You can read about the process in step by step detail here.
